The 1860 House

A historic home built in 1860, reimagined as a refined Spanish villa for a young couple — keeping the character and soul of the original architecture while making it feel fresh, elegant and right for the way they live today.

Exterior & courtyard

White stucco walls, terracotta roof tiles, arched openings, black metal-framed windows, natural wood, stone and lush greenery. The courtyard gathers a pool, outdoor dining, lounge zones, an arched gallery and a small wellness area with a sauna and an outdoor bathtub.

The bedroom

Classic architectural details with warm wood, soft textiles, brass accents and a light canopy bed — romantic, timeless and relaxed.

The TV lounge

The original ceiling was preserved and became one of the main features: deep blue walls, classical details, natural stone arches, warm wood and an oversized sofa made for slow evenings and movie nights.

Two bathrooms, two moods

Option one: quiet luxury — natural stone, warm wood and a calm palette. The approved design: rich burgundy accents, a statement glass chandelier and a geometric marble floor.

“For me, the most important thing is that the new architecture doesn’t feel ‘new’, but as though it has always been part of the house.”

Completed, with a trusted team

“A few details from the completed project, and the team that worked on it”: a general contractor, built-in furniture, glass and mirrors, doors — and Kate as the project’s designer.

Client feedback

“Your team, you have done a phenomenal job. From the beginning you were paying attention to what I was asking and we went through different versions… you supervised, you managed, you did a great job of following up with the contractor to make sure everything was going according to plan. I would recommend you and your company without hesitation.”

“I love the living room, how everything came out, the lighting. I love the entryway… It’s like picking one of my children.”

A client, in Kate’s “Client Feedback” video on Instagram (June 2026)

“It’s a difficult job to understand the client’s needs correctly! You did it 👏👏”
